Quick urgent question. Spark plug 550 vs m5

I am at the dealership in dominican republic. They dont have f10m5 spark plugs in stock. They do however have 550i plugs.

Is it true that they are fully compatible? I read some where that they are the same.

Thoughts? Please help, im sitting at the dealership about to make a decision!

Thanks guys

My input

NGK 5992 1-Step Colder Spark Plug

These NGK 5992 Laser Iridium replacement plugs are one step colder than Bosch and are well suited for higher than stock horsepower racing applications. The plug gap must be manually set using a gap tool to the suggested 0.022". The tighter gap and exposed electrode design typically results in fewer misfires at higher power levels than the Bosch plugs. The trade off is a 15-20k mile life span compared to the 20-30k life span of the Bosch plugs. Note NGK has changed their part number for these plugs to 95770. These plugs are compatible with all turbo BMW motors including the N20, N54, N55, S55, and S63TU.

ask the for the part number on the spark plugs and then google it and see if they come up for both N63 and S63tu engines.

I run 550 plugs in my m5 gapped to 0.022" for one year now with no problems.

The part number was not the same from the 550. LUCKILY they found 8 brand new spark plugs from an X5M that matched the part numbers. Regapped to .019inch right at the dealer and all good!

thanks for the input guys.
