Wheel Spacers-Competition Pkg

Anyone have experience with wheel spacers on a Competition Pkg. car?

I was thinking about 10mm front and 15mm rear (looks great in pictures of other F10 M5s) but when I measured the rear looks as if it would too tight for the 15mm given the the lower suspension of the CP.

The other issue is in speaking with the guys at Turner Motorsports and reading their website 10mm size spacers are not usually recommended for BMWs.
Now I'm thinking with going with 12mm all-around.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Spinny.

What company spacers are you using?
Any problems with fitment regarding the 10mm?
Are the 12mm too tight?

Thanks!

Macht Schnell. Turner also has a good set.

The 12 up front does not rub but it looks very aggressive. I have gotten use to it.

I have 343 rims

Turner no longer sells 10mm spacers under their name due to some sort of fitment issues. They do sell H&R 10mm spacers but suggest "avoiding" this size.

Do you think the 12mm will rub in the rear?

I don't understand why 10mm would have more fitment issues than a 12mm?

Good question. The fitment issue for the 10mm spacer is not with respect to the wheel-well but that it may not fit correctly on the hub due to some sort of spacing issue on BMW leading to some cars not having it sit flush. It's on Turner's website; the article states that there may need to be some "shaving" in order for these spacers to seat correctly. However no other company mentions this. It has me a little worried.

Has anyone ever had a problem with 10mm spacers causing noise or handling problems?

Spinny do you think the 12mm spacer will still allow the rear wheel to clear for CP M5?

Thanks

I had 12.5mm all around with my 601s - looked/fit perfect.

601 has a very slightly more aggressive offset in rear iirc, by 1 or 2 mm. The same spacer will work for 343.

I have 10 mm Macht Schnell all around, with 343s, no rubbing or weird handling issues.

I have no experience with the 12s so I can't say. Plenty of others on the board have had 12s. Keep looking through the threads and you will find other conversations about this very topic. Lots of pictures as well. I can send add pics of mine as well, if you like.

Wow I thought I remembered reading on here that the 601's were a little more aggressive offset....guess not maybe it's just the look of the wheel as they appear that way

That would be great. Do you also have the comp pkg?
Thanks

No prob at all. I measured the wheel using technique on Turner Motorsports Website and although the 12mm seems to fit it will probably be tight. I'll order the 10mm Macht Schnell; initially was hesitent because on the same website they described BMW fitment issues with the 10mm but seems like no one who has them currently on the F-10 M5 is having any issues.

Maybe you read comparing the 601 on M6 to 601 on M5???
Both are called 601 but different dimensions !!!
This is 601 on M6:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...18&hg=36&fg=15

Comparing to 601 on M5, it's 0.5" wider and ET:19 vs ET:34

Perhaps these will give you the perspective you are looking for. Again, this is 10mm Macht Schnell all around. This is a 2013 M5 non CP.
