All that matters is that op gets his HR installed properly and enjoys them as much as we do. And I'm quite sure he will.

I think most people here have a vast amount of respect for the Stage 5 550i. It's regarded as one of the few cars that can challenge the Bugatti Veyron. Especially when equipped with the optional M5 badge.

Many here consider trading their M5 for a Stage 5 550i, but alas few can afford such extravagance.

This is just one persons opinion but the KW coil over kits for the M5 are total garbage. Anyone who spends money on them is doing it just for the name and clearly doesn't care about vehicle dynamics. Seriously if they were any good BMW would use them as OEM for the M5.

OP. Get your springs installed and enjoy them in good health!

Can't remember where I read this above quote... 😜

Guess he can teach this famous Indy car racer a thing or two about why he choose to use HR springs on his M5. It's good enough for him it's good enough for me.

I am assuming you used coil-overs and not some cheap chopped springs?

BTW, you are all sleeping on the wrong mattress. Mine is more comfortable.

Mattress is overrated. Just use blankets and the floor.

Well, my H&R springs just came and are sitting in the box in front of me. Thought I see if this thread had any insights to offer. As to that point let's just say there was a lot to read in this tread!

What I was really hoping for is a idea what I should expect to pay for installation, and on the off beat hand if anyone knows a good installation shop in Minneapolis?

Now I'm going to hide under my key board.

Don't hide. I think I paid about 200-300. I'm loving mine and no problems what so ever. Shops should have standard rates. Some in Houston have 95 per hour. Hope this helps.

No reason to hide, as long as you agree with everything the 2-3 H&R spring fanboys on here tell you....you'll be fine.
Otherwise, if you want your car to handle and ride better stick to OE or get properly installed and calibrated KWV3s. And if you find that to be true DONT post it here or you will be insulted and ridiculed.

As far as the twin cities, there are very few reputable tuner shops up there. But if your willing to travel to Chicago area = you'll find some there.
Any race shop that has changed springs on coilover setups before should be able to do it in a few of hours. And there should be some up in Brainerd.
