Why are F80 owners so sensitive ?

Amazing the way they take offence at things which are just legitimate comments like: it is not fair to compare an M3 with a GT3.

Seems that their default reaction is to think that is hating on the M3.

I just don't get it.

Yup! Same thing when I compared the 5 series with the M3/M4 series. It's Nice to get opinions but sometimes people get angry which I don't get?

This thread has disaster written all over it.

With that said, I remember the days when 550i Dinan Stage 45 owners came on here often and liked to start threads. Those were the good ole days.

5 years from now we'll be back at it again with the M3/M4 guys between the Gxx M5/M6 and the Gxx M3/M4. Lol!

Most of them are "KIDS". There was a thread months ago over 10 pages to ask how old M3/M4 owners are.... I can say over 80% of them were in low to mid 20's.... To them in order to justify their purchase, any comparison will end up to even the competitor is too heavier or too lighter or too smaller or too bigger or too expensive or too cheap or....
And at the end of the day, they are all "skilled track drivers"
RPiM5 can confirm their honeymoon party days was like their cars are faster than M5/M6.... Haha but then time told the truth
I'm so happy that 30 Jahre M5 proved the power and agility of M5 compare to M4 in EVO battle on the track while the driver was M4 owner...
and only you guys know these monsters (M5/M6) need the driver has some seat times to be adapted to the power, torque, transmission, differential, suspension and also "weight and size" of car...

I have a hard time taking the M4 seriously. Tends to be bought by a bunch of kids. A grown up would buy a real sports car like a 911 or an f-Type. Not a 2 door version of a saloon car masquerading as a sports car.

Common guys seriously. Not all M4/M3 owners are "kids" or younger.

One of my friends on Facebook posted this today.

I suspect a lot only derive their social status from their car. And therefore any alternate comment that implies m3/4 are not the best cars in the world is to impugn their status. And therefore their reaction is like it is.

It's telling that you think it's isolated to the F8x owners.

It's become a more widespread problem for the roundel.
