Great now the car won't go into PARK...

My patience for querks and problems is somewhat running out. Still waiting on the dealer to repair the vibration in the steering and now the car won't go into park which means this 100k car can't be locked. Unreal and barely 1000 miles on her and I've caught myself building an E63 AMG.. :/

Maybe I missed it but what vibration in the steering whee?. I have one on breaking from about 50-40mph, like a warped rotor. Note, I have not tracked this car so it shouldn't be.....

Sounds like a rotor issue, driving in heavy traffic jams with a lot of start/stop or spirited driving and going to a car wash is enough, even driving over a water pool is enough for that. My M6 E63 had it three times, last pair having to be replaced with only 500 km on them.

I'd be interested about 'steering wheel vibration' fix. What's that about?

Mine has a harmonic resonance or high frequency hum vibration over bumps at speeds over 40 mph. On a textured road at 75, the steering wheel fees like a tuning fork being tapped by a hammer.. It's horrible.

I presented it to BMW NA and BMW AG, my dealer has looked at it, and because so many of my forum brothers "say" it goes away after 4k miles, they said keep driving it to see if it goes away. (or as I say the automotive equivalent to 'walk it off kid')

I'm on 12000 km and I can still feel steering vibration in traffic lights, don't know if it's the same case or not

not a good sign bro. speaking from experience, when a couple of things are messed up this early on, it might be a lemon... good luck.

Can't understand if something is broke or not working properly for people to say keep running it.

Regarding the park issue, when I stop the engine in drive it automatically goes into park.

Once you have stopped the engine while in nutral it seems that it is indeed not to put in park. I then have to start the engine, put it in drive and then stop the engine again to engage park and get the car locked

Haven't figured out howcome.

yes, this is annoying, but you could just press the start/stop button once more, it will automatically engage park, kill the radio and other electrical things, you don't need to start the car and select D again

as for the steering vibration, I experience it when the car is new, but after a while it sort of disappear, you still feel it when going over bump, but I would consider it as a road surface feedback

Sorry to hear about this newest issue. I have a steering wheel "shudder" that occasionally occurs when I am parking and twisting the wheel. The dealer looked at it and cannot simulate it, of course.
