BBS RI-D 19" on F10 M5 ? Will it go Well
So,
I am planning to purchase a BBS ri-d set 19' 9/10, basically this will allow me just to move the tyres from the oem wheels. also what i'm looking at is how the convenient that the 19's could offer.. since this car is driven to almost anywhere.. so i was just imagining as if the M3 were wearing 18's .. but the question is will the ri-d fit the callipers? is there any 19's aftermarket wheels that have actually been done here? thanks, i know this may sound stupid.

No 19" aftermarket wheels out there for the M5. Even BBS & HRE have yet to come out one

The 19" RI-D's on the F10 M5 will make contact with the rear brake calipers. Also the 20" RI-D's sizing is pretty much the same as factory. I recommend the 20" BBS FI that was designed specifically for the F10 M5. The 20" FI weighs less than most OEM and aftermarket 19" wheels.

But i dont really understand how the rear wont fit since the caliper are considerably very small

I think it has to do with the shape of the caliper housing. That's why it's not so obvious as one may think if it clears the front (bigger caliper), then it is no issue for the rear.
I learned my mistake last year and has to do some metal grinding off the rear caliper to make the wheel fit & clear. Quote:
