Electrical/Ringing Sound Under Acceleration

Anybody notice something like this? Under acceleration (and at times, braking) I'm hearing an interesting noise. It sounds like an electrical whirring or ringing. When I had my car in the shop the other day my tech chalked it up to "resonance" that these cars sometimes produce.

Can't say how long it's been there. I actually never noticed it. My fiance did. And now I can't stop hearing it.

Are you referring to a sound distortion from the center speaker because of the "active sound"? I have noticed that

Maybe it's that. Hmm...
