You need to download the ///M Laptimer App on your phone and then plug it in using the USB cable and go to the BMW Apps in the iDrive. I used it on my 2013 M5 at VIR last year and it worked great!

Yes used it at the ring during ED. Very cool and the app is great too.

I just realized I have BMW apps but never used it. How do I even access Apps?
