Went to the track!

So went to the track today with a couple of buddies. This car is really a beast. Wasn't expecting the times I got. Only did 4 passes as the track started to get crappy and crowded. 1st run I had it in 2nd and didn't notice until it was too late that run was a 12.9
Car is bone Stock

Good job man. A little more practice and you can touch the 11.5 mark.

Thanks, I agree. Was my 1st time at the track. I was shooting for the 11.5 mark.

What launch technique did you use? Did you ever run your z06?

Had everything in sport plus mode and S3 and MDM mode. I didn't use LC as I still haven't mastered or even tried it yet. All I did was line up and just gun it. I never did get to run my Z06 down the track. I wish I did though.

Another technique and it sounds like it works. People have been trying different things and it seems they all work. Good job again man. Looking forward to more passes.

You were making some power on that 11.7 run!!! First time I have seen 124MPH stock. What was your DA? Must have been crazy low! A 11.72 time with only 1.938 sixty foot, I am pretty fucking jealous, not going to lie!

Ahhh, I see you have the CP. You have probably posted the first CP time. Interesting...

next time try same, but keeping suspension in comfort

Last 2 runs I did I had the suspension in comfort and I got 11.9 both times.

@patb23 Nice. I have cp, but with catted dps. Similar times on the street. Best speed has been 126.7 1/4 and best time has been 11.7 @ 1/4.

Mashed in d3. Have not tried LC yet. Need to read on how to activate it.

I will take it to track soon and will post slips..

BTW It is hilarious how BMW plan on making M5 owners less likely to use LC worked!! By making it too complex and cumbersome yet it is a shame and one of the few things I don't like about my M5!

Nice pics! You should think about posting the drag slips on dragtimes.com. This way people will know what a stock CP M5 does at the track when they do a little research.
