Hey Golffrr. I'm interested in doing an ED in late July/early August. Given this time frame, does it even make sense to place an order right now for a 2015 car? Or do you and/or David think it would be best to wait to May to place an order for a 2016? If I opt for the 2016, am I running the risk that the '16 car will have a horrible residual/MF, or some kind of major change to the available options (i.e. no more singapore grey/sakkir orange paint)?? My thinking is that if the '16 is the exact same as the '15, except maybe for a slight price increase, then I would rather have the '16. I would only be interested in picking up a '15 in late july if the deal was too good to pass up or if the '16 is drastically different in terms of available options and features.

What do you guys usually advise in this type of situation?

I take it your talking about a M5 correct? If so then it all depends on what you want to do. I really can't tell you what the rates will be or the price of the 16s down the road since we have no clue. We are like all of you and are notified of rates etc.. each month. there is no way we can know for sure what the following months will bring. The only thing we can do is lock you in (60 days east cost/90 days west cost) and if the rates get worst by the time you get your car then your good or opposite better etc... If you are looking for july august ed you will need to get on Davids radar pretty soon I would say beginning/mid may ok.

shoot me a pm if you have any other questions. Im here till 645pm each day

I highly doubt you will get a better residual for the M5 than right now.
I got mine at 63%. My monthly payments are cheaper than what some people got for their M3/4 leases and I didn't put anything down.

I've been seeing that around...how is that possible?

I saw someone post on other forums that they just leased an M5 for 853/m with no cap cost reduction.

I'm around $870 with zero down.
With NYS sales tax, I'm at $945. (Base MSRP, no additional options).

I think that's a killer deal for such a car. It's really worth leasing over buying with these rates.

Do you mind breaking down your lease information?

I'm putting in numbers for a $100k+ car the monthly is over $1k.

The only way to get it to some monthly numbers I'm seeing around here is is if the selling price of the car is almost 20% off MSRP...?

This makes no sense. With a base M5 - no options whatsoever, gas guzzler and D&D - base price is 95,850 for US delivery. At invoice it is 88,362. Assuming you pay no markup (purchase price is invoice + 0). Your monthly would be $958.15 + state tax. NJ is 7% (lower than NY) and it works out to $1,025.23

If you do ED, your invoice base price (including GG + D&D) will be $89,350. If you do ED, it will be $82,382. Lease payments will be $784.33 + tax ($54.90) = $839.23. If you run at MSRP, you still dont get to these numbers.

All of these number do not include any cap cost reduction etc. Lease math run at 0.00129 MF, 64% residual for a 3 year / 10k miles per year lease.

Can you please explain how you got your numbers.
