Happy Customer: Michelin Pilot Super Sport - Got 70% Off
Hello fellow forum members,
I come at you on a sunny saturday with a positive review of my michelin pilot super sports. First off I have to say I'm thrilled these tires come stock on our F10/ F12 cars. I'll talk about the performance of this tire briefly; it's a great street tire with loads of grip, and awesome hook from a stop to wide open throttle. Never had traction issues on my M3. This set of 295s shown below were mounted on my CLS, rarely had issuing hooking up with 600 wheel torque (tuned), and don't have issues on my F12 M6 either Wouldn't recommend them for moderate to heavy track-driving. So here's where I am really impressed. The tire comes with a 30,000 mile guaranty. If you come short of your miles they'll refund you a credit on a new set of tires. In my case a 71.60 % credit WOOT WOOT

Huh? I didn't know you could do that. What if you bought the car new? Can you go back to the dealer?

? I don't get it.
You destroy them on track and Michelin pays you back? I had to buy new tires at 7k after tracking. I certainly wasn't presented this offer from Discount Tire

Say if you sit and do a brake stand... wear them all down.. I don't get it either, how do they go about giving you credit for wear? Good for the OP nonetheless!

* Mileage Warranty Exceptions
Split fitments - If your vehicle has tires of different sizes on the front versus the rear axles, your tires cannot be rotated as recommended. Therefore, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire line. Seems like we get only 15k for staggered sets |

Pretty awesome that you were able to get it warrantied. Looks like that normally shouldn't be the case according to the PDF above (under not covered):
– Uneven or rapid wear which is caused by mechanical irregularity in the vehicle such as wheel misalignment, (a measured tread difference of 2/32nds of an inch or more across the face of the tread on the same tire); |

I just purchased 2 new Rears cause mine are bald at 11k miles, actually identical to yours. I wish michelin would have told me about a dam warranty. Not cool.

Hey guys been lurking And decided to make an account
Quick question on the warranty I have a staggered set up and bought my super sports from Discount tire direct. I currently put 9000 miles on the tires and there wore down to the indicator. (Making over 520 wheel TQ will do that ) Do I just call Michelin to get a prorated discount on the life of the tread ? Thanks guys. |

Did you end up calling Michelin or did you go through Discount tire directly?
