Agreed. you can try to shop around but pricing will probably about the same. I have homeowner insurance with my allstate auto policy and im paying about 2k every 6 months for full coverage on my 15 M5, 15 X5 3.5 and liability on my 04 Oddysey.

Gieco was cheaper on the auto insurance but combined with home policy, allstate won.

I might start shopping around for rates again in a few months. my cost has gone up a bit over the years with allstate.

Thanks.
In NY, Suffolk County, $1,022 every 6 months for 2015 M5, Geico, $100k/$300k uninsured and $300k bodily injury with $1m umbrella. 40's with Perfect credit & driving record. Have 3 cars on the plan, homeowners with another carrier. I pay $2400 for 3 cars and thought that was crazy, $2k seems very high if you have a similar situation. Ask for every discount available. Do you belong to any professional organizations? I do get a discount for various memberships. Good luck!

I am in jersey and have a F80 M3 and a 16 X5 and pay $2652 for the year. Adding the M5 would drop my insurance another $65.

I however didn't goto all the major companies since its all the same junk. I used a family friend who is an insurance broker here in jersey and he just shops for you and gets the best price. I if interested PM me and I will make an email intro.

Yea I've heard that too but then again doesn't it depend on the shop doing the work? or is it that they won't pay for the OEM parts?

My father has been insured with Geico for 20 years or so and he hasn't had any issues with them so far

Not the same, but just for perspective, I paid $1900/6 months in Manhattan for my F31. Recently moved to Hoboken and it dropped to about $950/6 months fwiw. I would guess an M5/X5M would be in the $2000/6 months range for NYC.

Similar situation and cost to Johnm550, but one county over in NY (Nassau instead of Suffolk). $2,400 per 6 months through Geico for 3 cars including $300k uninsured, $300k bodily injury and $1mm umbrella.

I just called for quotes on a few cars, including 2013 M5 and 2011 X5M, both were right around $1750/year with $250/500 deductibles.
We moved counties and I updates address, $220 cheaper/year for our policy as it currently is (My E39 M5 was $1100/year, wifes E90 335i was $1200) so about 10% savings by getting out of the major county.
For comparison, a 2011 550i was $1350 and 2011 X5 35i was $1450, 2011 750Li was $1650
We are with AAA, haven't moved home owners insurance over yet.

I am actually paying $803 every 6 months. Just verified. Must have gone up some. Still much lower than what you are paying. My rates went up when I lived from Dallas to Irving. I was around $600.

Mine are 2016 M5 and 2014 Lexus GS so the value insured on those models is probably the difference. A good friend of mine handles my insurance and he is independent and can shop anybody and moved me to Travelers because they were the best this past year. I'm guessing that difference of $1600-2600 difference are probably that my cars are newer model years and have a higher replacement value which costs more to ensure. Thanks for sharing your data though. Always good to know what others in the area are paying.

I'd agree with you, however, even in 2013 I was almost $200 less than I'm paying now. There a ton of variables. I moved from travelers to geico because it was cheaper.
