Hesitation with stage 1 jb4

Have a 2015 comp m5 with jb4 stage 1...I'm getting a hesitation when I give it gas around 2.5-3k. It feels like the car is pulling and it hesitates briefly and goes. Its likes something is cutting. Traction control is not coming on and it can be reproduced in any of the gears. Any ideas?

What value do you have it set at? Are you sure this isn't the boost lag your feeling ?

With traction completely off can you replicate?

I just have it on the default settings. I don't recall feeling this stock.

Haven't tried...but I can replicate it in 5th gear where there is no issues with traction.

Check the values and make sure it's properly set. I don't recall having any hesitation issues like you are mentioning.

Definitely try without traction just to see what happens.

You may also check on N54Tech and ensure your BMS box is updated with the latest firmware.

Feel free to post on N54Tech and ask Terry @ BMS the same questions. He is very active on those forums.

That can be the inconsistency of jb4.
Sometime it goes sometime it doesnt. But hopefully its not a flaw.

I had the same problem the few times I used the JB at the track. Mine was the first version though set at 3.0 and 3.5.

It would jump off the line then a brief hesitation and then take off.
