May Be Pulling The Trigger Tomorrow!

Well fellas, by this time tomorrow, a sweet F10 M5 may be sitting in the driveway tomorrow. That is, is the numbers work out. BTW, I have decided on going with a MT,..even though I did not get a chance to test drive a DCT car. Now, if the deals doesn't go down,...then this car wasn't meant for me and I may turn my attention to the '13 F10 in the Atlanta area that has the same options and is a DCT car. Time will tell. That said, I will say that it's going to be hard getting to sleep,...and even harder putting in a full's days work.

Now,...what made me decide on getting the MT,...well, this particular car grew on me,...as I very seldom test drive a car twice. Also, it's loaded to the roof rails with options,....and I a sucker options. 'Nuff said.

On another note, I will have to foot the bill for the CPO warranty,....hence the progressive pricing being what it is. So, anyone know what I should be paying to have it CPO'd?

Also, things the dealer had to do already,...replace the rear diff,...and one rear tire. This doesn't make it CPO,....of which,...if they do,..they'll have to replace the other 3 tires as well. Naturally,...I'm going to check out all that I can.

Supposively another guy was waiting for me to come off the test drive with Singapore Grey car. If he laid a deposit down,....then the car wasn't for me and good for him.

I drove that car too when deciding between manual/DCT. I drove it pretty hard as did the salesman. This was over 2 months ago - I bet it has been flogged repeatedly. I wouldn't touch it.

Do yourself a favor and drive the DCT - completely different car. I ordered DCT.

Cool! I understand that many BMW owners drive their cars hard hard with You Tube,...it's quite evident that do. That's why I will go wit CPO warranty first and put put risk on BMW.

I do know that someone was quite hard on the car,...hence the rear diff needed to b replaced.

I suspect the DCT is a different car,....but I've been a MT car owner actually more years than I've been driving an AT. The other side of the is MT are way more simple than a DCT. And like many here have stated, ...you never get bore driving to MT car.

Well! The deal is off!! The car cannot be CPO'd,...because the previous owner missed a required scheduled maintenance! Basically,...he missed an oil change!

Naturally, my first reaction was,....WHAT!

There is no way,...I'd buy a car that is within the CPO mileage/time parameters a it not e CPO. Oh well!

Wow . I guess you saved me a trip twice. They have tried for almost a month to get me to come down to see the car after my first inquiry. I loved the options as well and that it was 6 speed. Seeing that it can't be CPOed with such low miles means it was beat on. Such a shame. Oh well my search continues as well...

I checked the carfax record. It looks like he went about 16000 miles and about 18 months without and oil service unless he went to an indy shop. But all of the services are from Passport so it looks like they are being honest in saying he did not have it done.

Surprisingly, the car is tight,...but so are new cars,....and they come with a Mfr warranty. One never knows what lurks under the hood!

Edit: On another note, I bought a 2012 X5 M,...non-CPO,....but with Extended warranty. I will make sure I hit th required service intervals and maintenance items.
