2015 M5 Lease Prices--Quotes are Still high

I have been looking to lease a new M5 for several months now.

Local dealer just quoted me this price--which I think is very high considering April's residuals.

MSRP: $105,950 -- Sale Price: $99,991

36 month lease - 10k miles per year

$1,000 down -- $1,351 per month
$2,500 down -- $1,305 per month
$4,000 down -- $1,259 per month

I never put money down on leases, so the numbers would be higher yet.

Am I right to think these numbers are very high, given the rates this month?

Seems high to me and not the greatest discount off msrp.

Granted I leased my car last year and it is a 2014 but I think with a similar msrp, my final cap cost was closer to $93,000.

I will say that after shopping around, BMW of Lincoln (NE) had the best deals by far.

Ps. With no money down and msd's, my monthly payment with our 7% sales tax is $1,025 per month, 36 months and 10k miles per year.

Assuming a residual of 63% and no MSD you should be around 1140 or so before tax, assuming your dealer is not marking up the MF.
So the last number in your post (1259) is the closest, assuming that has tax baked in, though you should get it without any money down.
While you can bring it down by putting down some deposits, the biggest bang for the buck has to be in bringing down your cap cost.

I think 2014 deals (late last year and the handful this year) were by far the best.

I believe the best numbers were between $750-$800. But they are long gone now and I think it was a handful of folks.

I'm going to try and negotiate those numbers now with dealerships with the cars on the lots.

$950 after California tax would still be a deal on a 2015 model.

Anyone know how hard it is for the dealerships to move the M5's off the lot? I know there will be some on the lot by the time the 2016 start rolling in....

I am assuming the residual on a 36M/10K is still 61% and the MF is 0.0013. The lease for nothing down should be around 1200-1350/month depending on how bad your sales tax rate is with NOTHING down.

In terms of timing probably Q3-Q4 2015/Q1 2016 for any left over 2015 models (that's how it played out with 2014 model leftovers).

Another BIG ? is, will BMWFS support leases on 2015 through early 2016 and with residuals as generous as the ones that were available on the 2014 till Feb (60%) of this year. This in my mind is the biggest unknown.

Without generous residuals and about 20% off MSRP, you are not going to get numbers in the 800 range, unless you go for a base model without any options.

You may be surprised a lease on a 2016 may be better, short of dealers being saddled with 2015 inventory and blowing it out.

youd be lucky to get 10% off right now.

I did ED on a $101k msrp and with 7 MSDs I'm $853/mo all in.

Calculated $115k MSRP - 15% no MSD and got $1007/month after 9% CA tax.

with MSD it drops down to $916 a month after taxes.

I believe ED invoice is at about 14% under USA MSRP...

You think it's possible to get to get a deal for an M5 on the lot for a ED invoice price?

And are ED selling the cars at under invoice?

This is the deal i got but i purchased a 2014 this past feb from a cold weaher climate city. In Feb no one is trying to buy a M5. Timing is key. If you are willing to wait you can get an exceptional deal.

Not on east coast. 2015s are still in production. You're going to have to wait to get anything like that.

Also , seems your calculations are off. 63% residual with 115 msrp, selling price 100k and 9% tax is $1078.51. MF is .0013. With MSDs 986.41

I also tried to get the discount in East Coast but the dealers over here seem stubborn. Not willing to do more than 6-8% in winter months even though the car has been sitting on their lots for few months.

They have to get rid of them somehow. I'm surprised you couldn't get more because 7% is invoice.

I could probably get 8%-10% right now for a car on the lot.

If BMW isn't giving kick backs the dealers aren't gonna sell them much below invoice right now. Remember 15s are still being made.

You'd be surprised at the market out here in Cali...especially for cars on the lot.

I've already done a 2 soft inquires at 2 different dealerships (asking for 20% off) and based on responses, that is where I put the 8%-10%.
