Long Time Forum Lurker…Brand new M5 Owner
Hi everyone !
So as the title mentions I have been a long time member of BimmerPost, not the most active member but a member none the less! My BMW passion started with my 2006 325i which I bought/modded in my grade 12 year. I quickly upgraded to a 07 335i sedan less than a year later craving more power. It was quite the journey modding my baby but at the end of it all i needed more power. Next I upgraded again to a 2011 M3 coupe and wow…..in love at first drive…I have had my M3 for close to 2 years now and i will never let it go…haven't modded it too much but i have plans to supercharge it this coming summer. Shortly after purchasing my 11' M3 i was randomly looking online at e46 m3's and i stumbled across a 2004 M3 fully loaded never been modded and with only 40k km on it….needless to say i scooped it up on a whim and my collection grew. Now with 3 BMWs in my garage (335i,M3, E46 M3) i finally thought i was happy…….then marriage came along….and another house…a dog…and less time. I quickly found myself running out of time to work on my 4 wheeled babies. so it came time to sell. first was the 335i which i sold to pay off my Grandparents debts. Then my E46 M3 to buy my wife a i3….but never the E92 M3. Acouple of months went by after downsizing my collection and i happened to road test a m5 while at work (BMW/Audi mechanic by trade) and boom….love at first drive again. off i went to my dealer and put in the order for 2016 M5 Frozen Grey Silverstone int. Comp package fully loaded 501 wheels The wait began…. 5 months later I will be taking delivery at 9AM. I will be posting pictures of all the cars i have owned to brighten up this post later today…off the dealership now! looking forward to finally being a lot more present on the forums. |

i have on order, cf mirrors, interior trim (piano black for now) and front license plate offset bracket from the dealer as part of my negotiations. not sure where to black out the chrome or go cf all over

Welcome to the fold.
I also recommend double sided tape for the front license plate instead of the offset bracket if you care about the odd placement to the side for the plate. The tape works perfectly and leaves no residue or adhesive to the paint even after months or years.
