Oil "Dip Stick" measure
HI All
How come the F10 M5 can only measure oil when engine is on? What about the old days when you just put a dip stick in the sump? How does it measure with engine on? |

There's a sensor in the oil pan. See this post for pics and info about it failing.
http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showpos...62&postcount=8 How exactly it works isn't clear. Also it's weird how the M5 requires you to be parked for measuring, while the 550i wants you to drive. Same sensor. |
