Duplicating key through the OBD port?
Maybe this is old news for the more tech oriented of you, but I just saw on the news that thieves use the OBD port to rekey the cars they steal. Plug a laptop into the port, code whatever needs to be coded and drive away. Is this possible with our cars also?

Anything is possible with tech that involves Bluetooth and WiFi,...which our cars have!

Yes I have seen the same news here in the uk. I believe all modern BMW's have this On board port vulnerability. But this news was over a year or so ago, so haven't heard much since. There's a video of someone's 1M being taken off their drive on YouTube.
BMW did address it eventually with a software update, but have advised regular software updates are very important in keeping your car secure. Many insurance companies advise having a tracker too.
