No welding or cutting needed just twist off stock M5 tips and bolt on new tips which are secured with screws To remove stock tips just twist and pull takes only 2 seconds.

Stock tips 76mm.
Cyba M5 tips are all 90mm in size.

For those of you that may want to install these tips on another vehicle the length is 135mm. Inlet diameter is 69mm. Outer diameter 90mm

Do you have these in a titanium finish too? Also are they slip on like the stock tips?

No install pictures yet sorry. To install tips you must cut and weld its very simple any muffler shop can do it for you. At the moment only dry carbon tips are available but I can get any finish made if there is enough demand

That's a shame. I would pay a premium for slip on tips that install like the stock tips.

It must be possible because Wald makes them for other cars. They sell dual tips for $400. I would pay a $1000 for slip on OEM fit quad tips with a look similar to 3D Design perhaps 95mm.

slip on carbon tips over the factory tips? I don't see that is possible on the M5? Slip on tips on the inlet pipes maybe but not over the factory M5 tips

I didn't say slip on over factory tips. I said slip on like the factory tips. I.e the factory tips don't need welding. I also don't want to weld aftermarket tips. I'd rather have slip on or clamp on so I can revert to stock for resale without any hassle.

And also I prefer Titanium or OEM-style chrome to carbon.

I think you will find the market for slip on tips is quite large. A lot of people don't want to go to a chop shop for welding, but a simple DIY slip on tips would have mass appeal. It's like the painted reflectors - everyone on the board buys them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think factory tips are slip on tips. When I crawled under my car they were welded on there...unless I missed something

The factory tips on the M5 are slip on. I replaced mine with a set of OEM tips I had powder coated black. Took all of 5 minutes.

Tips are for cosmetic purposes only... it will not change the tone or sound at all.

We are able to make titanium or stainless tips to slide over the factory inlet pipes...didnt know the factory tips came off so easily
Let me know which finish you guys prefer and if there is enough demand it can be done. As far as carbon tips go it will be a bit trickier so give me another few more days to see if its doable

I would want these. Please can you show pics of what titanium looks like? Would it be polished titanium (i.e. shiny)? Stainless is OEM right?

Is titanium easier to clean than stainless?

cyba,
if u can do slip-on carbon tips, you may save me the cut & weld hassle.

I want either one of these:
1) Double layer stainless steel with chrome finish (like OEM)
2) Double-layer Titanium with polished finish (like Akrapovic F10 M5 Titanium tailpipes)

Carbon tips we are still working on it need to see if it can be done no promises at the moment.

This is my opinion but if your going to spend extra money on titanium might as well get them with blue burnt treatment? I can get stainless steel silver polish for a lot cheaper and you probably wont see any differences. Unless you want titanium tips for bragging rights

I believe oem tips are stainless steel.

these are silver polish tips
