What is the actual redline of that powerplant? Seemed like he was holding longer than redline or maybe the fuel cutoff is actually above redline?

Now....if only they would make the exterior of the M cars look more distinguishable. Other than the quad exhausts and the slightly flared fenders, it looks to most like a 550 I know many prefer the "stealth" mode, but there is a certain amount of un-requested respect and glares that should come when you purchase a $100K+ car. Coming down the road, until you whomp on the gas, this one will get neither.

That said, it's still on my short list when the lease on my 'M3 vert comes up in 10 months....this, the CLS 63 (likely #1 right now), and the Panamera GTS

Wow, did I see 7400/7500 rpm during forth gear ?
I think we are going to see a hi rev turbo setup on the new M3/4, similar to the MP4-12C....

STOP STOP STOP!
When showing the front wheel during the drift near the end, the alloy itself actually hits the ground and sparks when coming out of opposite lock!!! So you destroy your thousand's worth of alloys every time you slide?!

No it runs out of boost at about 197 mph if it had an 8th gear then it would easily be a 210 mph car.
running out of boost.. no such thing! ^_^

Very interesting observation. Just get wheel and tire insurance. It always pays for itself!

If you can afford that car, you can afford wheel and tire insurance! Never seen that before though...

If you look closer you'll see the sparks came from beneath the center of the tread pattern, likley caused by road debris or rock pick-up from the tire bieng fired against the tarmac. The rim comes close, but never touches.

Perfomance aside, anyone else think those chrome "side grilles" suck ass?

Yes I think the side grilles suck anus. They bite a big, fat old arsehole. So to speak.
