I'm upgrading my clutch to Dodson plate on 1st week of September to get ready for future turbo upgrade. Let see how your tuning comes along? Pls keep us posted once is done.

The M5/M6 DCT part number is GETRAG 7DCI700 rated to 700 NM(516 lb-ft) of torque and I really don't know how people dare to tune their cars and increasing the torque while DCT is not rated for that torque; however Germans are always conservative so maybe 10-20% over load is still safe, but for sure that amount of torque puts stress on DCT (IMO)

Knowing this from tuningwerk who have done many gearbox upgrades, up to 800 Nm you are good. I have covered 40.000km with close to 850 Nm and for 5.000km with close to 1.000Nm. No problems yet but I don't launch.

My stock clutch easily slip if I run 6psi on auto mode D2 on 4th & 5th gear.

Do u know what boost are u running? your Nm is so high n yet u don't have any slippage problem? Did the tuner upgrade anything on your transmission? Eg software for DCT?

I do run a TCU tune as well, which has cleared the gearbox limiter and released more torque. Shifting is way smoother and faster than before. Don't know if they changed something when shifting. I have no slippage.

M-bitious, I believe u got the PP performance tune right? If so did they upgrade yr turbo too?

If yes what was the increase in the wheel diameter? Or u r using stock turbo?

I did have the PP Performance tune, but after I had some issues with the press file I changed to yet another supplier last week. PPP runs with stock turbos and I believe I will leave them stock for the future. I don't believe the engine will be able to handle much more than 850bhp without upgraded internals.

Wow......so that 30 Jahre M5 really pushed the DCT to the very edge of its torque capacity.
