Speed Limiter Removal

I guess I should have added a while ago:

Alex is able to do speed limit removal with just a code, same type of deal as when you code your windows to rollup or remove the startup warnings on the Nav.

Post a Vbox run to 190mph or it's bullshit. Or better yet, do it to my car for free and I will post the Vbox results.

That is a youtube of a European car. I am a US car driver, my car is limited to about 160mph. European cars can make 196mph, this proves nothing.

I want a Vbox run of a US car making 190mph or it's bullshit, just like this.

Like I said, I have ZERO incentive to try this out unless I find myself on a track.
As such, I am only telling you want Alex at Alpine told me he did.

did he charge you $200 for it in addition to the $100 for the coding?

^ This

This video does not prove anything!
This car is European car and can have M drivers package (Euro only) which the limiter is 305 km/h (189 mph) instead of 155 mph!

Or 316 km/h GPS. There is one limiter left to crack. (me again).

Has anyone able to crack the transmission limiter on the Euro cars yet? My friend is looking for it.

I have no idea how its done.
Alex used the coding software he uses to code the other codes is how I think he did it.

During my install, he ran into an issue where the car turned off while he was trying to write.
Then I ended up with error codes while I was driving.
He logged in and then said he had to give me a file with no speed limit , and that he could connect back in later when he had some time and put back my original file if I wanted. He told me nothing else was different, so I have left it this way.

Will this affect my warranty in any way if I have problems down the line?

Is it possible this is just a misunderstanding? Are there speed limits for doing other functions, i.e. mirror folding, door locks, or something else that Alex might have been referring to? I can't imagine the vehicle top speed limiter is available through normal coding access.

Thanks. Do you know how much do they charge just to remove the DCT limiter? He doesn't need anything else.

It is not possible I misunderstood. He called me on the phone and told me this. Also said I could go back to the original setup if I wanted. Was I lied to that this was not just a coding feature but a flash change?

Has anyone else had their speed limiter increased to 190mph in US with coding? Seems lame that we are dropping 100K on a car with 155 limit. I know how insane that sounds complaining about 155 limit, but I want to have the option of unleashing all the horses and maxing out on the track if I want to.
