I'm pretty sure this video is not from the Marriott that I think you guys are all talking about. The latter is out in the on the fringe of the city center in a more suburban area.

This video is from the Le Meridien Munich. (perhaps it once was a Marriott- I don't know).

Thanks for the info. Didn't look like a traditional Marriott room

I booked Le Meridien Munich for the night before our European Delivery.

Still making the reservations for the rest of the trip. Was thinking of making a run down to Salzberg Saturday afternoon.

This is our preliminary lodging list. Would love feedback on the travel itinerary. Does it leave enough time for sightseeing or should we be less ambitious.

8/31-9/1: Le Meridien Munich
9/1-9/2: Sheraton Salzburg
9/2-9/3: Sheraton Davos
9/3-9/4: Sheraton Genoa
9/4-9/5: Le Meridien Nice
9/5-9/6: Hotel Woodrow Wilson Geneva
9/6-9/7: Four Points Sheraton Zurich
9/7-9/9: Westin Grand Munich

A couple of us are thinking of taking a short trip south on sat. Salzburg is only a couple of hrs, I think?
The M event on the 4th is sort of changing the game plan a bit.

Your plan is a bit ambitious but doable

I think the problem with my plan is that there is too much driving and not enough tourism. Also if you have to focus on driving efficiently, you can't take the scenic roads.

Let's continue this on another thread where everyone should post their ED routes so we can cross pollinate ideas.

Since we have a good group of people staying at the Marriott I would like to add your landing times at Munich Airport. This would give an opportunity for you to share cabs or shuttles over with members and also help save additional money. If you are comfortable post your flight landing times and airline and I will add it to the top of the thread.

I am hoping for all of us flying United those pilots don't walk out. If they do that the Federal Govt steps in and orders them back to work!

I fly fairly often, but I am not too worried about it. If they do strike, it will be before this trip and hopefully enough time for everyone to figure out what they want. United (plus Star Alliance) is one of the largest airlines in the world and I doubt they can really afford to not fly for a few days/weeks without significantly impacting their future.

I wouldn't worry about it. (yet )
