Yep they both require attention to keep them up.
I had the Pian trim on my car for 4hrs only but the CF trim will show scratches/fingerprints etc as easily as the Pian trim.
The CF center console will add yet another item to take care of as it certainly is more sensitive to prints/scratches etc than the leather console.
I've been using Zaino CS on trim pieces for a long time and it works really well and makes maintenance really easy.

Interesting. I think I may get some Zaino CS. I had been using Swissvax Wood Wax which has the benefit of also acting as a concealer.

Do you have anything for removing fine dust scratches?

Really depends on the type of scratches/marks but I had great success with

The ///M Performance Carbon Fiber trim is available from your dealer.
The part # 51952250709 and retail price is appr 2800$.
The kit does NOT include the center console which IND can supply in addition to the kit.
As I mentioned in an earlier post fitment and matching of the CF weave is perfect.
IND might also be able to offer you a complete kit (OEM kit + center console)

Funny thing is that I was at a BMW store yesterday and they told me that no such dash trim exists (though I didn't have the part # at the time)

I'd like to get the cost of the cf interior trim package + center console + shipping to DC

Thanks!

If you are having problems getting the trim from your local dealer let me know and
I am happy to connect you with mine.
However you have a great parts supplier nearby with Tirscher and they have the
trim in their online store
http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

IND will be able to provide you with a quote for the center console

Thanks jmh! Though the photo on the site shows a manual transmission (which has a cup holder instead of an ashtray) does that mean that there won't be a cf lid for the ashtray with the trim? Or is the ind center console inclusive of the entire console ?
Also the site has a discount on the trim ($2,195)

Yes the trim itself will come with the wrong center console as BMW does not offer a variant for the DCT transmission.
IND has once again spearheaded an effort to provide a custom center console trim which you need to buy from them (this is on top of the BMW OEM CF trim)
Depending on which trim you buy (there's also an automatic/sport automatic) you will get the ashtray / cup holder covers which will fit the center console from IND.
You should order the trim for an automatic so you can re-use the trim covers (Tirscher will have the right part # )
Their online prices are usually pretty good.

I have a piano black interior trim on my 2010 M5 and would get it again.. I ordered it on my 2013 M5.
It does scratch, and you have to realize that and be careful or else you will end up with a not so great looking trim. The easiest part to scratch is the center console area (E60) and any other high traffic trim area.. have to keep in mind not to place anything on it like cell phone / keys.
Also when you clean it, you need to clean it carefully and with the right product and cloths.

BMW Munich sent me a bottle of 'nanowax' and what seemed like a bar of clay. I don't know exactly what it is because it was just sent in a small bottle with that name written on it. But, its messy and one would need to uninstall the parts, clean, then reinstall. If not the fine clay particles gets stuck in the cracks. It did work somewhat well.. I could see a difference.

I would suggest getting the Swissvax line of products (wood wax, brushes, etc), and that will help a lot with the upkeep. If you keep up with it and keep in mind that its prone to scratching, then it will stay in good shape. I will be using this product right after I take delivery as preventative maintenance.. then keeping up on it as necessary (usually after every 2-3 washes).

Very Interested in Carbon Trim - RHD Application?

Very interested in the cc and other trim pieces. I actually quite like the MPerformance logo... However, are they available for RHD cars?

Nate,

if can do RHD, can you courier to Hong Kong?

Please also advice price and payment method.

Cheers

Chris

Nate, any plans to offer the center console in other matching trims? Anthracite wood for example?
