Car held at VPC for a month!

My car has been held up at the VPC for about a month with two delays. I'm told it's because of some campaign but that is all I can find out. Can anyone shed some light on what type of campaign could be holding up the car? I've been assured the car is not damaged.
Thank you.

It could be almost anything from exterior damage during shipment, software updates, parts replacements, etc. You will likely never know unless it is something that is major (over 3% of MSRP damage).

Exactly. Any VPC hold for more than a week or so usually means something is wrong. The good news is if it is shipping damage, VPC is factory level work so your car should be perfect when it arrives.

I would demand to know what happened. I just took delivery a month ago and my car was at the VPC for 3 days. Something clearly happened during shipping.

Yes but a vehicle inspector will still be able to tell if the car has paintwork done so it's going to impact resale.

OP should have car inspected by an appraiser before taking delivery.

My dealer was able to find out my car and 25 others were held due to a detailed and time intensive chain tensioner campaign. The process is complete and my car has been released to a carrier. The dealer did a great job of communicating and even sweetened the pot on our already completed deal! Thanks to everyone for their help.
