Project Java Green F10 M5 planned
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I decided it's time to start something bigger and better! I also decided that this time around it would be another turbo engine (let's just face it, turbos are awesome) but I also wanted something with more space. So what was the logical choice? The new BWM F10 M5 I also decided that this would be something more than just a normal show car, it needed to be something special. First the color couldn't be stock, to boring, even though BMW has some great individual options out there. Ever since I saw the Java Green M3 I knew it was the perfect choice (I also know how much people either like or hate it). With that much attitude in the color something awesome was required for the wheels, something never seen or done before Well a little call down to the guys at MORR Wheels covered that. What's so secret about the wheels, well you'll just have to wait a little longer, but trust me, your mind will be blown. For now they told me I could give out this information "It's a new monoblock competition line based on 6061-T6 Aluminum competition forgings. Every blank is forged exclusively for the application that it is going to be used for, in this case the M5, which allows us to create very lightweight wheels. The initial FEA shows weights of around 2lbs-3lb lighter than their current VS8.2 lineup. The program includes a total of 6 monoblock designs." With all that in mind the next step was suspension and power, 560 isn't nearly enough for what I have in mind. Looking forward to what COBB has in mind for this project, should me amazing. Finally, what is it that I have in mind for all this? Speed! The goal of this new project is to set records, namely the worlds fastest production sedan. Texas mile here we come! While the project is still very young and in the planning stages (no US M5's until summer ) there has already been a huge response from various vendors. As such there are a few people to mention at the start, and hopefully this list will grow as the car moves along! Feel free to PM me if your interested in joining in on the project. But so far thanks to:
So... The part that people actually care about, here is the render of the completed ride, I can't wait to see it in the flesh! Last edited by beemerman1984; 02-29-2012 at 12:18 PM.. |

I don't think I could drive such a flashy color either but if it's going to be a project m5 then why not go super eye catchy like java green!
Did you guys see the java green m3 they featured a few days ago on the homepage? |

Wait till you see what they look like, the wheels on the render are just a stock MORR wheel till they are ready to announce them, but they are stunning and 20's From what I have seen they will be the best looking wheel MORR has ever done

For sure. I updated the thread with new info from MORR, shaving a few pounds per wheel is a huge savings on 20's.

Yeah after seeing all the 21s coming out on other M5 tuner cars the last few days I think 20s look perfect, I'm not a big fanny of skinny tires on a performance cars.

It's got to be shopped, the color is all funky, it should look like this in natural light.

Green is not a bad color, but in the chrome or lime variety...? Ugh... I would opt for a British racing-green or Spartan green! In standard metallic, of course.

Color matched front/rear big brake kit would really complete this!
