F10 M5 USA Dealer Allocation

I have been told NOTHING is to happen on my M5 order until the dealership receives their allocation.

Thought this may be a good venue to keep track of individual dealer allocations and help people that are maybe further down on their respective lists to keep track of other dealers allocations so that they can better their chances of expediting an order.

Maybe as post members hear from their dealers as to what their allocations are, they can report back here with dealership and contact info, reported allocation and where they are on the list and maybe even how long the current list is.

Also a good place to mention pricing you received. For those waiting, like me, I'd love to see when dealers start giving discounts as demand dies down in certain areas. I'm in the tri-state area and am willing to travel driving distance to get a better deal - especially since Id do performance center delivery anyhow.

That's correct. The opening of the order bank and dealers finding out their allocations happens concurrently.

BMWNA posted here that it will open sometime the first week of May. So not necessarily tomorrow (though it may be), but soon.

Rusnak, in Westlake Village, California is one of my largest clients. I've bought over 20 cars from them and have a very serious relationship with their entire management team, including ownership. According to them, Hawaii got the first allocation last week. Mainland allocations should be available in the next couple of days. What they say they can't tell me is how many slots they'll get initially. Unfortunately I'm number 2 on their list. Tom Selleck is number one.

Anyone have any idea of how many slots a larger dealer will recieve in the first month?

Looks like #2 on the list has two Ferraris, yet he still wants the M5

Sorry guys, the 430's gone, and for whats it's worth I can't wait to get my hands on my new M5. I've decided to go Singapore Grey with Sakhir Orange.

Up in the air on the trim. The aluminum will match the shifter plate and B&O speaker grills. The Piano Black will probably slow down delivery. There's always the dark blackish wood, but not sure if that works. Thoughts?

As soon as I get her I'll be dropping her a inch and adding exhaiust.

Up in the air on the wheels. May go with 21" HRE's

And forgot to add, I'll also be painting the calipers to a reddish orange!

Can't wait to see this!!

But I think a light trim like aluminum will look weird with sakhir orange interior. It looks best with a dark trim like piano black or very dark wood. How much delay if you get individual piano black trim? Might be worth it since it looks killer!

I wish I knew the answer to the delay in production when ordering individual options. Dealer has no idea. If it wasn't a delay, I'd choose Piano Black for sure.

How are you planning on dropping this car? I want to do that too but I don't want to go as far as I have with my M3 for ride quality, etc.

Not sure yet. Unfortunately we have a few months to do the research. The amount I drop the car will have alot to do with which product I go with and the ride quality. I dropped both my M3 and 458 and did not feel ride qyality sufferred.

My local dealer is saying they still haven't received the allocation yet, they cannot enter my order until they do and there are 6 other people in line in front of me. I requested ED.

You don't need a dealer allocation for ED - you should be able to submit 3 dates to BMW for approval.

Your dealer needs an education. The ED is not an allocation. They can order now and select delivery dates. Someone is either full of it or clueless.

I ordered ED a few days ago and should have my pick up date solidified very soon.

you should also be getting a much better price through ED. Check the ED submissions from other members. Dealers will match that pricing.

Thanks. Spoke with the dealer again today and after they spoke with the ED sales desk, they have cleared things up and have an allocation for me.

Just so you know Marco, no one from your dealer followed up on our converstion about an allocation. I leave to Italy in 4 hours and will be gone for 3 weeks. I would have love to work things out. Never makes sense to me when a sales guy blows a real buyer off.

There are numerous BMW loyal customers who have deposits in at their local dealers for some time now ,some of which are not in major metros , and here we have a McKennaBMW claiming to have an allocation for which they appear to have NO CUSTOMER DEPOSIT. BMW M Division lets get allocations to the customers who have made deposits and want to do delivery in the good old USA.

The last thing you sald is that you were not in sales and someone from sales would be in touch with me in regards to your so called allocation.

Never happenned. I also never recieved a PM from you.

If you're going to be promoting your dealership and open allocations on the forum, then you better be able to deliver. We deal with enough bullshit from the local dealers that do nothing but disparage this forum.

Not good!
