Well, ah, you didn't miss much M group was very hospitable and I was glad I went, but I was told by one of the attendees that the head engineer wasn't there because of some type of urgency so maybe thats why it wasn't what I expected. The reps that were there were tight lipped about future plans. Anybody else who was there please jump in to correct me. I kind of was expecting a group q&a session.

However, talking to several of you fellow ED'rs was much fun during the event and at the lunch afterward. Also got to meet and have a great talk with Southlight from this board. I just needed confirmation that I wasn't the only one with this car sickness disease

Anyone ask about the rear spring/clunk sounds that are being reported and if so, what was their reply?

100% agree. Maybe the engineer was looking at my engine!
Saw the camo'd M4 coupe, m3 sedan, up close (VERY NICE) and some x5 something. It was nice to see where it all happens M-wise but not sure I would have rearranged my trip as I did. It was also nice to see Axel and Marcelle from BMW M who I met in Spain at the launch in Nov.
The best thing for me was being handed the key to a broken in frozen black m5 until I left

Seeing the new M3 was very cool. Got to walk all around it and look inside. But it does look just like what you'd expect it to look like - a 335 with a power bulge in the hood, DCT transmission, huge brakes, and flared fenders. We also saw the new X5 drive out but it was under so much camo you couldn't see anything.

It was a nice gathering otherwise; but if you didn't attend you didn't miss a major event.

The X5 did sound nice to me. It also looked like the M Grand Coupe was down at the end of parking lot in camo, but I only made it half way down before being directed back into the 1st building.

I too was expecting a more formal presentation.

The M4 sounded mean. Felix and I saw and heard it go by. Where is the pic you took?

Y'all heard the M4 before heading to to the restaurant? Cool!
Barry I sorry to hear about your car issues. Hope the wait for the new car isn't too hard.
