Happy M5 owner
Long story short, recently had a low pressure warning on one of my tires. Discovered I had a nail in the rear passenger tire in a 'no repair' area - the shoulder. Went to the dealership (BMW of Corpus Christi) since I have the tire warranty and they ordered me a new one (3 days to arrive). I'm needing to fill that tire every day...essentially limping along.
So, why the happy owner title? Well, I contacted my sales manager and suggested they carry a set of tires for each car that doesn't come with a spare. Within an hour, he cleared it with the dealership's owner and they agreed. Limits future downtime for their customers and I love the fact that they responded immediately with a solution. Also impressed that these tires have maintained their tread despite some spirited driving <ahem> over 9000 miles.

I went ahead and ordered the opposite rear tire and will keep the one thats currently on there as a spare - likely toss it in my trunk for road trips etc. Not too keen on having $2000 worth of tires sitting around and figure they have other customers that would benefit from this. It really is a win win situation.

Nice! I'm actually getting a new Front Michelin PSS today for my M5 too. I called my go-to dealership (which is out of the way for me) and they told me that they just happened to have the OE PSS in stock for my M5. I was like sweet, I'll be in, in a few hours. Later today I should be able to take my SA on a spirited drive with my new tire on. Win!
Oh and I have around 17,000 miles on my tire that needs to be replaced. It could have went another 10,000 miles easy.

I'm on my second set of tires. I'm at 35,600 miles now on my M5. I should be able to make it to about 45,000 miles with the tires that I have now given that don't drive it as hard as I used to. Unless I take it to a track.
Oh yeah I already got my new tire on today. My dealer said they always try to keep a full set of PSS 's in stock for emergencies like mine. Also the technician inspected my wheel and no damage. Seriously Forged Wheels FTW! You guys really don't understand how hard I hit that pothole at like 80mph.

Yes I'm on my second set, switched them out at 25K. I'm hitting the track next week, I'm sure i'll be reducing the lifespan of this set.
