New 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR unvieled. Only 126k with 575hp.

Pretty interesting especially with AWD.

At this price point I don't see any advantage over AMG GTS too...
Well maybe AWD is the advantage for some people but AMG GTS is a lot more superior (of course IMO) than Jag

911 for me, no-brainer at that price point. Hard to beat the small footprint and pedigree of the 911.

It would be a moderately optioned C2S for that SVR money, and as much as I like 911s, they're a dime a dozen versus the Jag. Plus the Jag just drips with sex; not something you could reasonably say of most 911s regardless of how excellent they are. Oh, and the exhaust noise of the SVR of course.

Yeah Bish plus its 575 hp which no Carrera or current Turbo or Turbo S has (991.2 TT-S not out yet)... its got a good price point to compete with some of these other options. I am not a player but I can see why there will be appeal.

The irony of that is that the new C2S with seemingly less power than the SVR might just hang with it in the straights and no comparison in the bends. The Jag is way too heavy and wide. When the time comes to sell the car in 2 years time or so, the SVR would have its bottom ripped off. Sound wise, it goes to the SVR no question.

Agree.

The beauty and engineering of Porsche- more with less (Carrera associated). I had a "lowly" C4S (991) which made up its apparent lack of hp (only 400 LOL)with chassis response, balance, steering, and indeed even sound. The car lasted about 8 months in the stable only to be replaced by the new 991 TT-S.

I think you and I are very much aligned, especially when it comes to sound. You own one of the best cars ever made and even the sound with the Speciale has given you pause at times (I hope I speak in line with your thoughts- saw your thread at F chat back in the day).

I am hoping the next M5/M6 is lighter (200 lbs.+), has AWD, and more HP (620+). With those numbers, it should put up better performance numbers than this Jag.

Hehe well I say it's pretty divided.........but there is definitely some love for Jag in this forum (at the very least).

The Jag will definitely win in the sound department though that's for sure.

No doubt.

This forum I think is the most mature sub forum out there. You can come in here and discuss any car and you rarely get fan boys. It's all facts in here. No fiction or my dad owns this or that thrash.

Agree, there is so much experience here in owning and driving the cars vs what liking what they type in other forms.

So I saw a stock King driving yesterday- it does look very cool with the wider fender flares and aggressive stance. Dare I see more aggressive than an M5 (fanboys don't come in thinking I meant its faster cause it isn't )

Vic, I believe we should start a thread in this side of forum and let people report any KING they see on the road daily basis LOL
Anyways I test drove a Black on Sakhir orange with MT and full leather the other day... it's a fun car and I mean it... the only issue is that is not as fast as M5/M6
