How many miles did you guys replace your rear tires?

Just replaced my Super sports at 14,500 miles (Got a new set of Suoer Sports again )They had 4/32 and 5/32 tread left. Prob could have gone a bit longer, but wow. What a difference new tires make in regards to traction and ride. My dreaded flashing yellow traction light hasn't come on yet in a whole week. Wonder how long that will last! What is everyone getting on their rears? My front have a bit more left, maybe 7-8/32.

I'm going to get Michelins probably. Slicker the better for more traction in dry weather.?.I think Pilot Sport Cup 2s.. Wider the better.. Not good in the rain(!)

I replaced my tires at 12k (a set of 4)
But why did you replace them with 4-5/32 left?
Usually you have to replace them at 3/32
In Europe they replace at 2/32 (1/16) with 1.6 mm tread left.

Over 23k miles on my OEM PSS, and still good. Amazing tires, too bad they are just about impossible to find right now.

I regularly take my car over 100 mph, so how do you define aggressive?

My rears (also PZeroes) were replaced around 8000 miles too. The Pirelis don't hold up as well as the Michelin PSS.

well, hitting 100 on the freeway won't induce tire spin. Taking off from a stop/red light will, thus eating the tread away faster......

Based on the penny test, when should u even begin to consider switching tires? Obviously there is more benefit on this type of a car.

Loss of traction isn't necessarily from tread wear - it's from compound change. Can have plenty of tread and poor traction if you have a bunch of heat/cool cycles on 'em. These PSS are awesome.

I switched my rears at around 12k and fronts at 20k.

At what PSI do you guys have set on your tires? I've been running around with 33-34psi cold; I'm sure tire pressure leads to a difference in thread wear
