I have been struggling with this. I was thinging of ordering the car with the 19s and using them for winter and getting a set of 20s (probably HREs) for summer. Probelm is you are now left with a set of 19 inch summer tires. Also, then you have staggered 19s and I would rather not have staggard widths for winter.

I don't love any of the stock 20s unfortunately so I don't think I would get the 20's with the car and then buy the 19 winter package. I was thinking about getting the 20's using them for the season and then treating myself to the HREs just as the newness of the car is wearing off. I would then shod the 20s with winter rubber. My concern is whether there will be a significant winter perfomance difference between the 20s and the 19s. Any thoughts - preferable based on experience?

These are the ones I have now and they get a top report.
20" wheels are good.
The Pirelli winters are crap in comparison.

19" winter will give you a bit more sidewall and softer ride, which would be beneficial with all those potholes/rough roads.

Actually, I always prefer 19" (all around) than 20"+ due to the harshness of ride. But then, 20"+ does look amazing. At the end of the day, it's all about personal taste & preference.

btw, most of us in the forum uses 19" factory package set.

Hi, I have gone with the side wall of 35 all round.
255/35/20 front
275/35/20 rear

Speedo error 1% which with my GPS means nothing.

John, do you know if these will fit the OEM 20s as well?

Just wanted to post this pics of the 20" OEM 409M wheel that I found.

Tires are 255/35/20 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R snow/ice tire.

They're 20x9 and comes with two offsets, ET32 for the front and ET25 for the rear.

There's also a 19" version, the 408M, same width and offsets.

Just curious if you mounted the 20's yet? I ordered some 20x8.5 ET20 with 255/35/20 tires, and I was curious if the offset would be an issue. I'm running 18's with 30 offset now, and I don't have any issues, but I wasn't sure about a 20 offset.

Thanks!

I tried the wheels and they seem good, fronts on the limit flush with body, rears good.
My rears are ET20 * 10"
Fronts ET15 *8.5"

Read another thread on here and the guy got 12.5mm spacers on all wheels and all good no rubbing ect, that translates too His fronts 9" * 22ET, mine 8.5" * 15ET only 4mm Poke difference.
PS) yours will be fine.
