Battery charger
So I am not using my M5 as a DD no more and for most of the time the car sits in the garage lately. The battery is running low and I was wondering if anyone can recommend some battery charger with CIG plug ? AFAIK BMW doesn't supply any.
I remember Porsche was offering very good system which you only had to plug to the cigarette lighter. Appreciate any help Z. |

Do NOT use cigarette lighter chargers on new BMW models !
They isolate the circuit after a certain period of the car going to sleep. So you will be energizing a closed circuit and not charging your battery. Only charge it via the jump start connectors under the hood. Get a proper Ctek brand charger (easy to get from places like Amazon.com, .co.uk. .de, .fr ect ect) BMW even sells them at all their dealers outside the USA (but at a much higher price)
