Is lack of full merino leather a deal breaker!!

Hey Guys, I posted my first thread about selling my 911TT to return to the ///M family, well, the sale is pending and the hunt is on!! So far the 2014 market(my preferred yr.) is a bit scarce in terms of well optioned cars. Some of my must haves and highly desired options include CP, executive package, B&O system, blue or white exterior and full merino leather. Well, after 2 hours of looking through various websites, I found ZERO, but did find 2 with everything including adaptive LED lighting, but no full merino leather. My last 4 vehicles had full leather interior, so I'm a bit spoiled. The question to my fellow enthusiasts is lack of full merino leather a deal breaker? Does it bother you to look at the plastic leather wanna be dash day in and day out? To me it almost seems silly that a car of this caliber and price range would have full leather as an option!?!

Mine doesn't have full leather and it doesn't bother me. That said, you're right in that full leather should be standard in a car of this caliber.

Sad to say that full leather would be a deal breaker for me. The leather dash and door cards really make the car feel very luxo.

I would not buy an M5 without it. But at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference !

I picked Full Leather over B&O and I believe M5/M6 must have Full Leather as standard. I enjoy every single moment looking at beautiful leather dash and would rather have nice interior than cosmetic exterior parts and that's why lack of FL was deal breaker for me at the time I was planning to get my car.

Full Leather is a must. If you don't exactly have your heart set on an M5, might I recommend searching for a used M6 Gran Coupe. They are mostly equipped with Full Leather and most of them even have contrast stiching with most Leather options being Individual on those cars, like Amaro Brown, or Champagne.

I'm on my 3rd F10 M5 and the newest one has full leather - wow, what an upgrade!

I don't have full leather, but I wish I did. My last E60 M5 had it, and it seems much nicer than the F10.

Silly question - is there any difference in the leather on the seats between extended and full merino leather?

Thanks Guys! It appears that the majority prefers full leather, but this option is rare in the used 2014 & 2015 market!?! May have to suck it up and go new or spec one out.

I'd love to have an M6GC, but I need seating for 3 in the back for my little ones, hence the reason why the 911TT had to go.

Once you have a car that has full leather (and I'm not talking about the lovely American manufacturers that have started putting pleather on the dash) having a car without it starts to look cheap. Especially on a $100k car.

Full leather and B&O. You won't be disappointed.

I know, but these options are extremely difficult to find in the used car market, that why I might have to build one or keep on looking. What would it be if you had to choose between B&O and full leather? I'm leaning towards a few with CP, B&O, LED adaptive lighting, and extended leather but not full.

I would build then if you can't find what you want.

I believe the full leather is a stand alone option and not part of any package deal, but I could be wrong. The car looks great and appears nicely optioned, but not full leathered.

I think so too, in Taiwan it is also a stand alone option.
