Per BMW:

See just what it takes to maneuver 560 horses as they're unleashed on our track in Spartanburg, SC—home of the most thrilling school on the Eastern Seaboard, and quite possibly the planet. Then book your class online, and learn even more about each thrilling experience at http://www.bmwusa.com/PDS.

Complete car control is essential to top performance, from acceleration to loss of traction, from the street to the Skid Pad — it's as much about the mental as it is about the physical. Watch Chief Driving Instructor, Matt Mullins, with tips on how to become the Ultimate Driver.

Acceleration - Tip 1

Owning the Corner - Tip 2

Proper Vision - Tip 3

Braking - Tip 4

Complete Car Control - Tip 5

More like a commercial for BMW Performance Driving School than tips, which are in turn so basic that I'm sure every ///M driver has learned the good or the bad way. Although the instructor in the video has some exceptional skills.

I really want to drive out of my neighborhood like that one day while I wave to all my neighbors mowing their grass on Saturday morning.

Can someone explain to me how this site is supported ? I am not a long time member but over the months it has become clear to me that there is a BMW marketing calendar being followed to promote their cars here as well as steer discussion . How much "control/support" does BMW provide to it?

These are more like the ads for the BMW driving school. The videos didn't really give any tips. Wasting time watching them.

correct but if you can idiotically drift around the track like that you will certainly have the skills and brain to know how to race the car around the track properly

Matt is a great guy--he worked with me very carefully, working on specific detailed skills, and I really felt I got my money's worth. Because of him, I now own an E90 M3 similar to what I drove in that school.

+1, although this is such noob info that any enthusiast would too. 'Look around', 'stomp on brakes' (not good advice for the track anyway) etc... more "M"arketing.

Nothing comes free. Want real tips? You gotta dig into your pocket for real cash. Otherwise, these vids are pretty enjoyable and watching a M5 tossing around a track is always fun.
