Spacer sizing and competition package
So i know the F10 M5 without competition package is running 12mm front and 10mm rear and most say that's the sweet spot, any guys running that setup have any rubbing on the stock rubber and stock offset of the 343's. I'm getting ready to order spacers and want to make sure i won't have any rubbing issues as the i have a 2014 CP M5 that is about 0.4 inches lower. anyone with experience.

I have a 2014 comp M5 and it was recommended to go 10mm all around. Apparently you can do 12/10 but I'd rather stick to tht experts opinions. Have no issues with rubbing at all. I'm trying to determine this week if it's the spacers or just shitty NJ roads but it seems my car has become more sensitive to roads in terms of vibration. It is very minor and only on some parts of the highways and even then only in certain lanes. Not sure if it's the spacers as we experience the exact same thing in my mother's 550GT

i've never had a problem running spacers, on my gtr i ran extended arp studs and spacers with BBS LM's. on my audi s7 i ran h&r's. this time i'm going with macht schnell hopefully there of the same quality as thee H&R's. but maybe it's just the roads or check the torque, i always lightly sand the hub so the spacers fits complete flush with the hub and proper torque. i ended up doing 10/10 macht schnell spacers it seems most folks that go with 12/10 wish they had gone 10/10. hope it looks good!

Let us know how it ends up. I also have a 2014 with comp pkg with the 343m wheels and was thinking about adding the spacers.

I was at 12 front, went to 10 and gave a slight tuck which looked better to me.

I'm at 12.5mm all around on my CP with 601Ms and it looks and works great. No regrets.

I have cp 601s with12 front /10 rear.
I did not like the 12 front but I am used to it now. If I were to do it again i would go 10 all around. Only my opinion.

I have MS spacers 10mm all around. I live and drive in the heart of NYC and those who know, the roads are horrible.
Went with 10mm to keep the look the same and to have a safe driving experience. No problems as of yet. Btw, it's a 2014 CP. |

I have a CP coming and thought I might want either sport springs or an HK kit, but after seeing your pics I think the drop looks really good. I went with MS spacers 12F and 10R and looks like I can get away with it pretty easily. Your car looks great, btw.

And yes, with the factory CP ride height I don't know why someone would go lower. But to each its own. Enjoy and good luck. |

Mostly stylistic reasons. Wheels come too "tucked" from factory.
