Powder coating my wheels
Hey guys, I have a Sakhir Orange M5 and want to powder coat my wheels either gloss black or matte/satin black. I can't decide on which one, need your help deciding.
Post pics of yours if you have any! Much appreciated (ignore the purple lights, editing came out weird lol) |

Satin black. Matte black hard to clean.
Just done my wheels in graphite black.

I have a space grey and was in the same dilemma trying to decide between satin & black. I went with Gloss black to match my exterior trim, and limo tint. It also looks amazing. The Satin is good but was more grey when dirty than black. Gloss when dirty still looks black to me.
You cant go wrong with Gloss/Satin. In my experience, Satin is easier to maintain only because it hides dust/dirt easier and wipes right off. Gloss will show dirt and any imperfection more than Satin. See the pictures I attached - I included Satin from the dealer and the gloss I went with.

I say gloss black. Matches with your carbon fiber finish and OEM trim finishes better IMO. I have MCB with Gloss Black Eisenmann tips with Gloss black wheels.
