Loaner G30 540

I have stayed away from the new G30 and F90 on purpose so I wouldn't get the bug and didn't really see that much difference but I dropped my car off for service this morning and they put me in a new (200miles) 540 m sport and I have to say I am liking it. Feels much smaller than my car for some reason but with more rear leg and seat room and really like the interior and tech. I was fully committed to going a different route when my lease is up but hmm this has got me thinking about a new m5 competition.

Don't drink the Kool-Aid just yet. Wait for the M8 Coupe and M8 Gran Coupe. Trust me.

I've driven the G30 530i, 540i and F90 M5, and while certain things are superior to the F10, it's just not a big enough change from a generational standpoint to warrant the spending of so much more money over the F10 generation.

I'm currently in a 2019 G01 X3 loaner (had to drop off my F10 for an issue this week) and I gotta say that I'm not overly impressed with it over the F25 X3, or over my 2017 Chevy Bolt EV. It really doesn't drive better than the F25, but there's lots of stuff in the G01 that is improved, but it's mostly cosmetic stuff. So don't be fooled by the small stuff. Rather wait for big changes in design and dynamics like the 8-Series is most likely to provide. Just my 2 cents.

Yea coupe is definitely not for me (3 young kids) and I am sure an M8 gran coupe will be more than I am willing to spend on a BMW. If I had to guess given M6 GC pricing. If i want a two seater weekender it would be a GT3...my car world is topsy turvy right now anyway...I will probably work a deal on a F90 as I am going to be way over my lease mileage and the only way to get outta that is to pay or trade up or buy my f10 and keep it for a while which is not out of the question.
