No, we can negotiate discounts as well. It's just more difficult up here, simply due to the fact that there are many fewer luxury vehicles sold up here versus what you guys move down South. Homework, patience and finding the right dealership will help get a fair price. Keep in mind that our base pricing tends to be 15-20% higher for all vehicles.

Given that 2010 base MSRP US was mid 80's, I hope it will start around high 80's or very low 90's. I am hoping without gas guzzler tax, it might even be the same price as the previous generation M5

well look at the new CLS 63 amg... It's msrp is 5k cheaper than it used to be. I'm hoping the M5 is similar (but I doubt it).

Even if you look at the base MSRP; 2006 M3= $48,900. 2011 M3= $58,900 it's still like 20%, double the inflation rate. I think the stinking package/option/accessory pricing is where BMV is really raking it in. Is it me or have these prices grown out of control?

Why is the performance exhaust 4k extra for the m3? Are they just valuing the normal exhaust it's taking the place of at 0?
Shouldn't the m5/m3 already come with good exhaust? Seems absurd. Can't believe the stuff BMW gets away with (I'm a sucker and pay too tho |

It will be $93K msrp, prob around $110K with all options I'll need.
My E60 M5 was $87K msrp and was $100K with all options. Still a bargain compared to a Panamera Turbo S. |

As others have stated, I am considering the new M5, as well as the Panamera GTS and the Merc CLS63, when my current M3 vert lease is up in October Any insight (I know the GTS not yet out either) Thanks

I'm probably not going to get the car, and a big reason is it's just too big. I measured the Panamera 4S vs my E60 M5 side-by-side, and the 4S is 10 inches wider!! Practically speaking, it will be a hassle to park the thing in my garage, and driving it I just felt the car was huge. Other minor issues are lack of ventilated seats, seating for only 4, and no multifunction paddle-shift wheel. I really can't believe Porsche doesn't offer ventilated seats or a multifunction wheel option with the paddles on a $100,000 car. The other, and main reason, is the M5 sounds like it's an epic car. EVO rated it 5 stars, and that doesn't come around often. Based on the other reviews, I've pretty much made up my mind, but will wait until the US mag road tests on US cars. |

Thanks for the feedback....I have not yet driven either car obviously, but had a 2008 9997S, and always loved the p-car brand. That said, I know that the panamera is polarizing. I am likely leaning toward the M5 or the CLS63. One more car as food for thought...Maserati Quattroporte? that's a looker of a car!, but I am concerned with possible maintenance issues
