Dinan Equipment = No CPO?

Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? A concern for those of us planning to purchase after lease expiry.

Message received from Dinan says officially 'no.' Offered possibility that individuals might be able to negotiate this with dealer who installed Dinan equipment. Not happy.

I've also heard no but I think it really depends on what Dinan mods and how many. 95% of mine were done by the same dealership but the extra stuff was a deal breaker......Phil

The answer is NO, IF the fact that you had Dinan mods done went on record with BMW. Some dealers do not record that fact, they can uninstall tune, CPO and then apply tune again. You would have to cover labor

Given that my Dinan mods were installed by a BMW dealer who is partnered with Dinan, I believe that precluding CPO eligibility should have been revealed upfront. The value of the vehicle has been diminished. I will attempt to resolve this quietly with the dealer (I was planning to buy my F10 at lease expiry). If that discussion proves unsatisfactory, I will discuss a possible class action with my attorney friends.
