Yes it's plain daft, Porsche offer the service to the UK (well they used to but it might have been suspended IIRC)

We're right on their door step we even built a tunnel under the sea to connect up with our European brothers clearly they don't want us to come over.

More pictures of moonstone metallic - I couldn't find enough pictures when I was looking to place my order. So hopefully this is helpful to those who are looking to get this gorgeous color. I have been a lifelong "blue" guy, but I don't think I can ever get another color after moonstone.

It's more deep and rich than the e3x caramel. I will post more pictures of caramel soon - waiting for the right light to get the best representative picture. Hopefully tomorrow.

But it's very close to the color of saddle brown in current ferrari's. My neighbor has 458 in that interior - we haven't looked at them side by side but from recollection that's the closest.

Thanks. I don't plan on doing any mods in the car.

It has shades of white, sandy silver (not beige though), and blue. Different lights highlight different undertones. It also has a slight wet look to It.

Yes that's correct. I didn't customize that though. The default option was caramel / black for the option code I selected. I had seen it on the Alpina B7 and liked the look of it so didn't change it.

I ordered with BMW of Morristown in New Jersey. I worked with Mike Wendroff there - he is a good guy, very straight up, knowledgeable, and responsive.

I placed my deposit for the car in December but because I wanted my ED for end of May, BMW would not accept our order until January. From the time we placed the order to acceptance was about 2-3 weeks. BMWNA turned down the request two times for special interior. Stealth pilot asked me to email individual Germany, and they got it approved in 2-3 days I think. Pricing came back in a day or two as well. My backup plan was doing Amaro Brown full with Sycamore red trim which we knew would be approved. But it all worked out at the end :-)

I installed a US Mill Works front license plate mount (damn NJ). Besides that no changes. Debating whether to get a light solar tint. I don't think I will make any mods to her - I usually keep my cars very near to stock or do minor incremental OEM installs.
