Fellow M5 owners, Can you please check - this compartment in your trunk... What items do you have? My new M5 seems to be missing some.

That is for the warning triangles and the first aid kit. U.S. Deliveries don't get it. I did ED and was told to take them out and put them in my luggage because U.S. Customs would take them from car.

I think for the first aid kit there are some sealed packages in there and maybe they're worried about what could get smuggled in. No idea on the triangle. Probably aren't DOT approved.

I am glad you posted this. I was just thinking about it this weekend and was going to ask my friend to take a snap of his. I was in Germany last week and noticed their kit was full of stuff. Thought I got screwed at the dealer.

US DOT regulations do not approve of European spec triangles and First Aid kits.
Even though most of the rest of the world does.
