2.7% power increase must be really noticable.

Hopefully I can retrofit the headlights and new grill design. Aftermarket exhaust and I'm all set.

The bulk of the price of the package will probably be for the cost of the Carbon Ceramic brakes and exhaust. Hopefully they do a Performance Exhaust like they have for the E9x M3 and other previous BMW cars.

It's the way it always goes. About 18 months after I bought my E92M, the E92 LCI and the Competition Package for the E92M were unveiled. Thankfully, it was relatively easy (though not exactly cheap) to retrofit all of the LCI and ZCP bits to my car. It looks like all of the new updates will be easy to retrofit for existing F10M owners, with the exception of the steering changes (and even then, nothing is impossible -- I still remember some E46M owners retrofitting the ZCP and CSL steering components onto their cars).

Doesn't sound too bad. While still no match for the S85 (which was handcrafted by God himself), it does seem to have more character than the standard car.
I am still not sure how i feel about this though. On the one hand, I am glad BMW is making a more hardcore model for those who want it. On the other hand, I still don't think I should have to spend over $10k to make the car what it should have been from the beginning. |
