Any update? Also, not going to pretend I'd know what I was doing so does anyone have a sense what this would cost to have a shop do it? Bleed and bleed/replace?

I don't know why you guys are so interested in his process, like it's never been done before or have had the procedure described.

If you're not confident in the job, have a shop do it. For pricing over the phone first, I'd ask them what they charge to replace a clutch slave cylinder. The cost to do this should be a little less as they are not physically doing anything to the slave, just popping out the valve, reconnecting the line and bleeding the same as usual for a slave cylinder. On a lift, this is a 30 minute job. An hour labor shop time would be fair IMO.

Because I just got my F10 this year and had never heard of this before despite owning an S4 manual and Mercedes manual. What you just mentioned is really helpful because I don't plan to do it myself so hearing what it should cost and the time incurred provides me guidance. Thanks
