Ruben,

I also had straight pipes and although I didn't care for drone my wife, co workers, and customers all had something to say.

I played around with different aftermarket resonators and found some that eliminate the drone almost completely while still retaining the outside loudness.
It now sounds much deeper and more refined and almost no drone

Turner Muffler Delete | Catless DP | Stock X and Stock Resonators = Ton of Drone.

Turner Muffler Delete | Catless DP | Magnaflow resonated X Pipe
No drone. Only in 1400 RPM while decelerating. Sounds great but exterior noise reduced quite a bit over straight pipe. Still very aggressive. Magnaflow only makes 2.5" in/out so I felt there was some restriction

MSR Exhaust (Prototype)

No drone cruising nor during WOT. Minimal at 1400 while decelerating. Reduced sound compared to straight piped but much louder than magnaflow. Sounds amazing

Wow awesome video comparisons. I ride motorcycles so drone doesn't bother me at all. I actually live for it. Its like an eargasm for me! I normally drive the car in regular eco mode so it usually stays in D7 and it cruises pretty quiet. Down shifts w the DCT are glorious and I've scared the driver in the other lane unintentionally but man it was funny :

Round these parts of the UK

Round these parts, loud exhausts and Chavs are synonymous. While it would certainly make people look at you it would usually be out of annoyance...nothing more annoying than a chav with money.

We have some of the loudest Subarus and Ford Fiestas in the country. Wouldn't want my lovely M5 in the same category

Different stokes for different folks I guess

Haha - I get the same reactions especially since I have the MSR intakes and those downshifts are loud. I laugh every time I drive near a car with the convertible down and he snaps his neck trying to see what's creeping up.

I grew up with bikes, last one was a 2009 GSXR 1000 with motoGP exhaust. So loud no one could drive on my right and drivers flipped me off Hahaha

Nice! I currently have a monster 1200s with a moto gp "style" exhaust as well (austin racing). I finally got to ride it yesterday after a whole year mainly because we have a 1.5 year old at home and it gets hard to do hobbies lol. But i was leaving for work and when i tried to start it... It wouldn't start of course. So i did the only thing i could which was to roll it down the hill and dump the clutch. My wife text me later to tell me she died laughing as she watched me trying to start my bike.
