Does anyone else think the car makes a lot of wind noise for a 100k car? The window seals seem poor.
I have really only noticed it now that I am playing the B&O less in order to enjoy the E-race.......

I wouldn't say wind noise however I did notice a significant increase in tire noise when I put my PSS 20" summers back on after riding on 19" sottozeros.

Car was whisper quiet with windows up on winters!

Wow typically the snows make the noise and the summers are silent.

Barry there was some convo a few months back it's the driver side mirror. Not sure who posted but the stealer replaced it, and problem gone. I hate the stealer touching anything because they screw up something else. When I had my oil changed they dropped a tool in the door seal and left a big scratch. At this point it has to be major for the stealer to get my car. Let us know

This was the very first thing I noticed when I picked up the M5 brand new in Munich for Euro Delivery. I was just like wow, these tires are loud! Lol!

I'm very happy but I feel the car could be quieter. I feel I get more road noise than wing noise. I am happy that I can have the sunroof window exposed without extra wind noise Vs. my E60. I had to close the shade to make it quiet.

Nothing bugs me out more than a random interior rattle/noise. Normally this stuff happens after 25,000mi. Sounds too soon... too soon.

Mine doesn't have the wind noise. In fact, it's a bit too quiet most of the time especially when not listening to radio or music.

Lots of wind noise in my M5 , it's part of the "features" of the F10 body and really annoying for this class of car. However my friends 2013 750 has almost as much wind noise too. Tire noise on my 19" wheels is noticable if you really key in on it but very acceptable for the kind of car and significantly less than my 911's or 2 previous Z06's. Heck it is even less than my MB SL550 on Michelin A/S tires.

What's happening with BMW produce cars? It seems that different people are getting somewhat different cars even though they are all considered BMW M5s. Could it be that the German QA/QC is slipping? I would not have been surprised if the car had a "made in china" tag. Not that items produce there are bad -- it's just that lack of QA/QC but when those are done those "made in china" products tend to be excellent -- Apple iPhones, iPads, etc. are your best examples.

Just to inject, I personally have not experienced (so far, and "knock on wood") any of the problems people have complained about the M5 and posted in this forum -- no clunk sound in the rear, no wind noise, no iphone connectivity problems, etc. Sometimes, I feel left out!

Quality control IS Slipping no doubt about it, the last two cars I have had from them have had faults from Day 1
The X3 35D M Sport the steering failed on the way home from the dealership, could have killed use all, rake failed!!!!!!!, took 3 weeks to get one.
The F31 330d M Sport I have now had paint defects and the Sat-Nav disagrees with the HUD and commands, this is still a fault and I have had compensation from BMW for this.
I am test driving the M5 this weekend for 3 days with a view ( if the price is right) to purchase, But things must improve on the Quality control front.

I thought the same on my M6 and have been wondering if it was just me or maybe more of tire noise. As heavy as the doors are i would think it would have been more coffin like in my car. Looking at my side sills trim for the rear seat windows they look like they are protuding farther out than the portions near the front of the vehicle. I haven't seen another M6 around to compare.

Two-step process for fixing creaks, rattles, and misc noise:

1. Roll down all windows
2. Right foot to floor

So far, it's worked every time, makes the one noise I can't hear enough of the focus!!!
