Someone stole my tow hook cover

Is this a new thing? Just had to replace the same part on my future stepson’s Rouge because someone stole it. My other half is getting in his car and calls me over and mine is gone!

Who the hell steals tow hook covers?!!?!?!
Anyone else? Is this a new thing? I’m in Staten Island.

things like that are the most irritating things (to put it gently) a while back i had M valve stem caps for like a month until i noticed they were stolen. and it pissed me off so bad that someone really walked around my car and stole $20 caps off my car. i wouldve given anything to walk up on the person while they were doing it!!!

Took hook covers are a $50 bill. Steal both of them and it's a Benjamin. Ready for the taking. Valve Stem Caps are a $20 bill.

I’ve always had roundel valve stem covers. No one ever screwed with me.

L, you gotta chalk it up to the game. There are some people that will find a quick way to make a buck......unless this was a X6 driver that couldn't afford the $50 plus paint......Phil

Hi Phil. Hope all is well. Haven’t seen you around in a while. For someone to make a buck there needs to be a market. If it’s a fellow X6 driver I hope his wheel bearings go and he is plagued by every imaginable gremlin. Dirt bag.

The tail end of Staten Island. Been here 15 years, no one ever screwed with my cars. I expected it in Brooklyn. Again, no big deal. Just surprised at the part they took.

Yeah - about the same cost as replacing the cover - looks better than normal plate mounting - harder to steal than a plate cover

Not sure why that is funny

I don't know, it was funny the first time I read it. I have the normal plate mounting so it wouldn't work for me. I already ordered the part.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
