Exploring wheel options (Chicago)

Hey guys so I've decided I wanted to get after market wheels. I'm at the beginning stages of figuring our what kind of wheels to get, what works best as far as 20s or 21st. I won't be tracking my car anytime soon and if I do I sure as hell wont with my after market wheels. I'm also wondering what size tires people have been running, and what size wheels. I'm not running any spacers now but I do have H&R springs so im wondering what the perfect size is so that I wont be rubbing. Give me some advice, I appreciate it

On my last two M5's I've had the Breyton GTSRM's and the Neez QD7's...just so you get an idea of what I like. I'm open to something different though, I've never had anything with a lip.

Thanks in advance

How are the roads by you, theyre terrible by me, which is why I chose 20" after mkt wheels. I went with Modulare B18s. 21's wouldnt last very long here.

Also look for aftermarket rims. I live in NW Indiana and road are not that good. Thinking 20 p43sc in stock tire with h&r drop. Going to see Nate at ind this week.

If you stick with the stock widths and offsets when going aftermarket, you shouldn't run into problems with Rubbing on H&R's. Dealing with the Chicago roads, that's going to be a totally different kettle of fish! Sticking with a 20" wouldn't be a bad idea in your area.

Most of the brands we carry give you the ability to customize the width/offset based upon your requirements in a 3 piece, some also in Monoblock.

HRE Wheels & MORR are two excellent choices. Also, BBS is coming out with a 20" FI (Forged Individual) for the M5 soon, and will probably be one of the lightest options out there.

Guys, how about VOLK Racing G25 20" - 20x10; 20x11?

Its 1 pcs monoblock forge wheels and weight in (according to Nate : (20" front 9.8kg; rear 10.5kg). Prices are much cheaper.

Thats not much different from BBS japan latest RI-D (front 8.8kg; rear 9.4kg) equavilent to BBS F1 which is coming out soon in Europe). Should be about identical weight i presume.
