2015 M3 Prelim BMS numbers vs. m5 out today
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25401
Terry's dyno reads about 20whp high, but 479whp and 484wtrq for stage 1 are not bad for day 1... Any thoughts [I've always advocated that if you could safely run the stock m5 numbers the 800lb loss would be very beneficial especially with the better DCT from the e90 days]? Also looks like stock crank numbers 429/429 very consistent at least for the m3 he has his hands on. These was Terry's Prelim stock M5 numbers http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=55 566whp 516wtrq So for Terry's dyno the stock m5 has 87whp and 32wtrq over that stage 1 m3... My goal was always stock m5 numbers and that looks to be quite attainable if the engine can take some more boost/ meth and or e85 + downpipes and intake which will both surely come..
I asked him about the ECU and if they're the same insane ones we deal with... Waiting to hear back. |

No 429 was the baseline whp stock numbers... His stage 1 piggyback [or alpha tune... probably VERY preliminary] is putting down the 480whp... But again his reads high [20whp over is being extra careful for his] which is why I posted his stock m5 numbers to compare...
480@24psi [which sounds like a lot to me] Last edited by M5Rlz; 06-16-2014 at 05:01 PM.. |

Still curious how the internals will hold up, considering at least on the lower lines they've seemed to seriously skimped, so not sure if thats translated to the Ms but the n54s ran max boost, e85+meth for long long abusive stretches.
