2016 M5 Release date?

Has anyone heard when the 2016 M5 pricing and availability will be released? I'm looking to order an 2016 M5 for ED and want to start planning!

Should be very soon. Either this month or early next month. Production starts in July.

I would jump on 2015. Besides a price increase can't see any other major changes

I am getting about 7% discount on 2015 model. Should I wait for 2016 or negotiate for more on 2015?

Should be in double digits in a couple months at the cost of a more limited selection.

7% is not that good IMO. I would negotiate invoice + instead of Discount from MSRP.

I want ED delivery at a specific date in the fall, thus the wait for a 2016 for me. Been a long, long wait.

BMW, release 2016 pricing NOW and shut-up-and-take-my-money!!!!

Do you think 10% is good or it should be more?

Again, different negotiating tactics. I did not negotiate off MSRP. But i think 10% off MSRP for a US pickup is good. As a back check, I would get a hold of invoice pricing list (look around on threads - I have posted the excel file before with invoice pricing). Compare that to what markup it represents over invoice. If you are upto a $1,000 above invoice, its a good deal in my view. You may find some dealers (ask GOLFRR) who can do even better then that.

+1 on that excel sheet. Helped me a lot on running my numbers.

I'm with you- I want to take ED in Sept hence the 16 model year. If they don't hurry up and release the ordering info I'm going to cave in and buy a Ferrari F430 instead of holding out a couple of years for a 458.

Info should be out very soon. It is already May 15th, but keep in mind, how many other BMW's have new info out on their 2016 models yet? Just have to wait a little bit longer I'm sure.

I honestly cannot see the benefit of waiting out for the 2016 unless you are going to customize and get M Performance parts pre-equipped which would make it worth while.. Otherwise I would look for the discounts on the 15 as some have suggested..certainly saved me a ton of money on my 14 which I bought in September last year..

Guys,

I have been able to negotaiate a price of about 9% on 2015. MSRP is $109k, sale price $99.5k. I also asked for Wheel and Tire Insurance and they are quoting me around $2500. I am told this includes cosmetic damage as well

What you guys think?

SD

European Delivery in September is the only reason why I'm focused on a 2016...

I would not be surprised if the 2016 had the power upgrade from the 30 Jahre

Even if it does, it's a basic remap to get your car to a even higher hp number than the 16 M5.

Looks like that the 2016 M5's will have it. 2016 M6 is getting an updated Comp package with 600 HP with 515 lbft torue available lower in the range!
